Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how SeetaNarayan Travels uses them on our website (seetanarayantravels.in), and what choices you have regarding their use.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your computer, smartphone, or other device when you visit a website. They are sent back to the originating website on each subsequent visit, or to another website that recognises that cookie. Cookies are useful because they allow a website to recognise a user's device, remember preferences, and improve functionality.

Cookies do not typically contain personal information that identifies you — but information we store about you may be linked to information obtained from cookies. For example, when you initiate a booking on our site, a cookie may remember the destination you were viewing so we can pick up where you left off.

There are two types of cookies based on their lifespan:

  • Session Cookies: These are temporary and exist only for the duration of your browser session. They are deleted automatically when you close your browser. We use session cookies to maintain your browsing state during a single visit (e.g., keeping you logged in to your booking account).
  • Persistent Cookies: These remain on your device for a set period (which varies by cookie) or until you manually delete them. We use persistent cookies to remember your preferences across visits (e.g., your preferred language or previously viewed destinations).

2. How We Use Cookies

We use cookies for the following purposes. Each category is explained in detail below.

2a. Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the website to function and cannot be switched off. They include cookies that are set in response to actions you take, such as logging into your account, filling in a booking form, or setting your privacy preferences.

  • Authentication cookies: Allow you to remain logged into your traveller account without re-entering your credentials on every page.
  • Session state cookies: Maintain the state of your booking form so data is not lost if you navigate between pages.
  • CSRF protection tokens: Security cookies that prevent cross-site request forgery attacks on our booking and contact forms.
  • Consent record cookie:Stores your cookie consent preference so we don't ask you again on every visit.

Legal basis: Legitimate interest / Contract performance. These cannot be disabled.

2b. Analytics & Performance Cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website. The information collected is aggregated and therefore anonymous — we cannot identify you personally from this data. Insights from analytics cookies help us improve our site structure, content, and performance.

  • Google Analytics:We use Google Analytics to measure page views, session duration, bounce rates, and which destinations attract the most interest. Data is anonymised before being sent to Google's servers. Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Performance monitoring: Cookies that help us detect slow-loading pages and errors so we can fix them quickly.

Legal basis: Your consent. You may opt out via your browser settings or the Google Analytics opt-out tool.

2c. Functional Cookies

These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalisation. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we have added to our pages. If you do not allow these cookies, some features may not function properly.

  • Language preference: Remembers the language you have selected for your browsing session.
  • Recently viewed destinations: Remembers which tour packages you have viewed so we can show relevant suggestions.
  • Google Maps embeds: The interactive map on our Contact page uses cookies set by Google to enable map functionality.

Legal basis: Your consent. Disabling these may affect the user experience.

3. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies on our website are set by third-party services we use to enhance functionality. These third parties have their own privacy and cookie policies which govern how they use the data collected. We have no control over these third-party cookies. Key third parties include:

  • Google (Analytics, Maps, Fonts): Used for website analytics, embedded maps, and typography. See Google Privacy Policy.
  • Supabase: Our backend and database provider. Their infrastructure may set technical cookies related to authentication and API request management. See Supabase Privacy Policy.
  • Cloudflare: Our CDN and security provider uses cookies for bot protection, DDoS mitigation, and load balancing. These are strictly necessary for site security and cannot be disabled.

We do not currently run targeted advertising campaigns, and we do not use advertising or retargeting cookies on our website. If this changes, this policy will be updated and consent obtained where required.

4. Managing and Controlling Cookies

You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies (other than strictly necessary cookies). You can exercise your cookie preferences through the following methods:

Browser Settings

Most browsers allow you to view, manage, delete, and block cookies for a website. Be aware that if you delete all cookies, your preferences including cookie preferences will be lost — you will need to accept cookies again the next time you visit. Instructions for major browsers:

Google Analytics Opt-Out

To opt out of being tracked by Google Analytics across all websites, you can install theGoogle Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-onavailable for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.

Please note that restricting cookies may impact the functionality of our website. In particular, you may not be able to use the booking form, maintain a logged-in session, or use the interactive map if essential cookies are blocked.
